Inspired by the intriguing Docter concept by Siwoo Kim, we embarked on a creative journey to realize this design in a quick 3D concept. Mirror Images: Exploring the Possibilities with Triplegangers
Our journey wouldn't have been complete without the remarkable services of Triplegangers. This platform offers an extensive array of human digital doubles, providing valuable 3D and 2D reference materials and 3D scans. Merging Faces in Digital Cloning
In creating our basemesh model, we utilized the head scans from Triplegangers, blending them to achieve a balanced mix - approximately 60% Caucasian and 40% Asian. Alongside this, we merged the textures for a cohesive look. These techniques mirror what Metahumans offers today. However, when we first experimented with this method, it felt like a revolutionary step in our creative journey.
Marvelous Designer: Replicating Realism
The rest of our project revolved around constructing clothing in Marvelous Designer. Here, we paid special attention to how stitching often affects fabric, leading to a unique scrunching effect. We used internal lines to mimic this detail, adding an authentic touch to the white coat of our model. This minor yet impactful detail significantly boosts the design's believability.
